Every woman knows the feeling that comes with catching sight of yourself in the mirror and realising your white bra is showing through your top.
But it could become a thing of the past with the introduction of an ‘invisible’ bra from M&S designed to blend perfectly with any woman’s skin.

While other attempts at making ‘nude’ underwear have tended to take a one-colour-fits-all approach, the £18 Nearly Naked bra comes in four shades to match a range of skin tones.
Researchers at M&S scanned the skin colour of more than 1,000 customers using a spectrophotometer – a machine which determines the individual shades that make up the final colour of the scanned object.
Shade of pale: The flesh-coloured underwear comes in four shades to closely match customers' skin tone
The results were compared with ethnicity data from the Office for National Statistics to select colours that were an exact match for human skin.
The bra is available in sizes 32A to 40D. The range also includes matching briefs for £8.
Disappearing act: The underwear, £18 for bra and £8 for briefs, is designed to appear invisible under clothes
Soozie Jenkinson, head of lingerie design for M&S, said: ‘Women are recognising the need to wear a neutral-coloured bra which complements their own skin tone and can create a “disappearing act” under clothes.’
Paschal Little, head of lingerie technology for the chain, added: 'By using revolutionary new techniques we have been able to produce a wonderful product which is not only a great fitting lingerie range but also one which will suit every woman in the nation.'
