37 years later, German couple completes building a giant castle in their back yard (3 Photos)

Heinz and Hildegard Schönewolf, from Dudweiler, Germany, have spent the last 37 years building a 350 square-foot fairy tale castle, right in their own backyard. The castle is made of stones, bricks and thousands of bags of cement. The beautiful backyard castle started out as a simple retaining wall that the Schönewolfs kept embellishing over the years. Ever since they started work on it, in 1975, Heinz has spent every single day making his castle better, and his wife Hildegard says they never even went on a holiday vacation. Although he says the backyard castle will never really be finished, because he always wants to add new things, Heinz has already opened it up for public visits, free of charge.

The castle is 15-meters high and 15-meters wide and features towers, battlements, narrow pathways, a charming Rapunzel room and even an 18,000 liter aquarium in the basement. The German couple estimate they’ve spent about €50,000 (or $63, 040 dollars) on the castle so far.

We all know that one of Steve Jobs' other major ventures was Pixar, but I think Apple had a homerun on their hands with these badass threads.

Anybody for hamburger cupcakes? (12 Photos)

Bake a batch of both chocolate and white cupcakes

Cut the vanilla cupcakes in half

Cut the tops off of the chocolate cupcakes

Dye a tub of white icing green

Pipe the “lettuce” around the edge of the bottom halves. Also put a glob of icing in the middle as glue for the hamburger patty.

Put the tops of the chocolate cupcakes on top of the lettuce.

Use store-bought frosting for the ketchup and mustard. The colors are more vivid than trying to dye the frosting.

Using a small tip, put some ketchup and mustard squiggles around the edge of the hamburger patties.

Pipe another glob of green icing on top of the patty and glue on the tops of the buns.

Brush some sugar water on the tops of the hamburgers and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
