In the Chinese city of Dongyang there is a upsetting local delicacy that pushes the envelope of decency and common sense. Called “Virgin Boy Eggs,” this traditional snack involves taking urine from boys under 10 years old and then soaking and cooking eggs in it. Still with me? After almost a whole day, the eggs are cracked and ready for sale by street vendors at the low price of 0.24 cents per egg. This centuries old tradition is said to provide health benefits, such as improved circulation and lowered body heat, something that many medical experts dispute.
